Generative Algorithm Facerecognition with FaceOSC Concept
Concept
Can an AI be creative? What does Art look like in a future where AI takes over most of human jobs?
This project aims to ask these questions and let the visitor think about a possible answer themselves. We
wanted to create an experience that is similar to being drawn by a street caricature artist like the ones you
see in big Eurpean cities like Paris, Rome and Berlin.
What does this experience feel and look like when the artist is a robot instead of a human and the human part
of the interaction vanishes?
Installation
Visitors are getting a personal portrait. But in this case the „artist“ is an Artificial
Intelligence. By using a face recognition algorithm it records the physiognomy of the visitors and creates an
individual caricature based on a giant database of scribbles. Finally the portrait is drawn by a robotic arm.
